Another Visit

Dear Lucas . . . Yesterday you met your first cousin, Campbell Jane. The two of you were able to hook up via Skype - with your parents assistance of course. Uncle Micah, Aunt Carter, Grandpa and I saw you in your daddy's arms, and you were wide awake. As Daddy put you up to the camera I wanted to cuddle you close and kiss your tiny forehead. One day I will.

Oh My Gosh!

Dear Lucas . . . On Monday, April 19th, Grandpa and I saw you for the very first time! It was such an amazing experience that I can't wait until we see you in person. Using Skype, we were able to see you move and hear you cry a bit; plus seeing you in the arms of your mom and then your dad was incredible! Even our dog, Rudy, got in on the experience and wanted to see you on the computer screen. We are so thankful for modern technology that allows us to watch you grown and change until we can be together this summer. I love you Lucas!

Birthday Week

Dear Lucas . . . You were born in Glendale, California, at Verdugo Hills Hospital to Adam and Rose Davidson on April 13th, 2010. You came into the world at 12:12 p.m. on a Tuesday weighing in at 8 lb. 12 oz., and you were 21 inches long. A very big boy! Your Grandmother and Grandfather Castillo were first on the scene following your arrival, and I have no doubt they were beaming with joy. Later that same day, your brothers, Ryan and Kyle, came to visit you at the hospital.

All the above information was given to me by your dad your first day on earth. Because your Grandpa Bell and I live 2,000 miles away, we weren't able to come to the hospital to see you. We definitely stayed by the phone at home and had our cell phones with us wherever we went beginning the night before you were born. You see, your birth was a really big deal to us as all our grand children births have been.

Now, on to the really good part . . . today! You see, today I got to talk to you over the phone while your mommy nursed you. She told me you were wrapped in the blue robot receiving blanket I made for you, and she was using the nautical burp diaper I decorated with ribbons so you'd be all decked out when "dining." I can just picture you now, Lucas. I imagine you look like quite the little gentleman!

It is just like God to give me a feeling of connectedness to you already. One day I'll see you in person and get to hold you close. Until then, you are always in my thoughts and I pray for you often. You have a beautiful family Lucas Adam, and you are very loved.

I love you!
Nana
